Ingredients
¼ anise liquor
½ cup butter
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate
1packet pulverized anisette cookies
Method of preparation
Step 1: melt the chocolate in a double boiler constantly stirring using a wooden spoon
Step 2: When the chocolate has melted, add butter and stir it slowly into the chocolate as it melts
Continue stirring for at least 1 minute until it is smooth.
Step 3: add in the rum and stir until it is well mixed and then sprinkle in the pulverized anisette cookies slowly until slightly thickened but as the same time ensure that it is smooth.
Step 4: when you have completely mixed in the anisette, rest the top of the double boiler in a bucket of ice and whisk the truffle mixture slowly for approximately 15 minutes until it cools off.
NB/: do not stop whisking because the butter and rum will separate out of the chocolate anisette.
Step 5: when the source is completely cooled, it should have a soft but solid consistency which you scoop with a spoon into truffles and coat with chocolate powder confectioner sugars.
Step 6: ready to serve.
