Ingredients

– 250gms wheat flour

– 2tps baking soda

– 80gms chocolate powder

– 250gms granulated sugar

– 1tsp baking powder

– 250ml cooking oil

– 2tsps strawberry essence

– 250ml milk

– Assorted Food colors

– 500gms icing sugar

Key instructions

Ensure that your hands are completely cleaned using warm soapy water.

Clean the oven with a damp cloth soaked in warm soapy water and ensure that it is preheated to 200*c.

Clean an eight-inch tin, dry and grease it, and line with foil paper in both the bottom and sides.

Method of preparation

  1. Mix the flour, chocolate powder, and baking powder, baking soda, granulated sugar in mixing a bowl and put it aside.
  2. Mix all the wet gradually one by one in a se3parate mixing bowl
  3. Use a hand mixer or an electric hand mixture to stir in all the dry ingredients in the wet ones slowly in a clockwise direction until the mixture is even.
  4. Pour the mixture is the already prepared baking tin and spread it evenly to ensure that there is no presence of bubbles.
  5. Put it in the middle of the oven and bake for 35-45 minutes.
  6. Once it’s ready, put it in a wired rack for cooling.
  7. After cooling completely, start icing using your desired food colors and making your desired shape
