Ingredients
210g wheat flour
1 ½ tsp. baking powder
55g unsalted butter
60ml canola oil/ vegetable oil
200g sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ tsp. strawberry extract
240ml butter milk
170g chocolate chips
Method of preparation
- The oven should be preheated 175C and grease the baking tin
- Mix together all dry ingredients and put them aside
- Using a mixer, beat butter oil and sugar at low speed for 5 minutes until it is light
- Grease the bottom of the bowl. Beat in strawberry extract and egg until well combined.
- Slowly, beat in flour mixture and then mix in chocolate chips and make sure not the mix the batter
- Put the batter into the pan and smoothen it and bake for 40 minutes
- Cook the cake completely and cool in a wire rack
- Refrigerate for 5 days and serve at room temperature
