Ingredients

Dough making

4 cups all-purpose wheat flour

1 cup whole milk

½ cup sugar

2 tsp. salt

2 ½ tsps. dry yeast

6 tablespoon unsalted melted butter

2 eggs (1 egg white)

Filling making

6 Tablespoon’s unsalted soft butter

¾ dark brown sugar

2 tsp. cocoa powder

1 tsp. Ground cinnamon

¾ cup unsweetened chocolate

 

Method of preparation

  1. Blend the ½ bread flour, 2/3 milk, and ½ water in a small bowl till all lumps are removed. Bake under moderate low heat siring regularly till thick but at the same time easy to pour for at least 3 minutes and then let it cool for few minutes till warm.
  2. Using a big bowl, blend the remaining 3 cups of wheat flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Make a hole at the center of the mixture and pour the cooked milk flour mixture, the milk that remained, the already melted butter, and the eggs. Continue string till the dough is ready.
  3. Continue kneading on floured service until the dough is well smoothened and put it to greased bowl turning it to make it coat. Cover it properly and leave for 1 hour for it to leaven.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180*C and grease a medium-sized bread baking tin.
  5. Mix the cocoa powder, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon till smooth.
  6. Put the dough on the floured service and roll it on to a rectangle shape. Put the brown sugar mixture evenly on top of the dough and spray the chocolate evenly.
  7. Roll the dough starting at the one corner to form a tight log and seam the end and then cut the log from one end vertically till the end.
  8. Braid together the 5 times twisted sections of the dough and pinch the ends together to seal it and transfer to the baking pan and wait for it to leaven to make a double size.
  9. Bake the bread till golden brown for 45 minutes and wait for it to cool on a wire rack.
  10. Ready to serve.
