Double-chocolate Peppermint candies recipe:

Want some simple soft, sweetened mint candies coated with dark chocolate? Here is the easiest recipe for bursting up your sweet cravings.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Dark dipping chocolate 2 cups
  • Butter ¼ (softened)
  • Powdered sugar 3 cups
  • Peppermint extract 1-2 tsp
  • Chocolate jimmies (optional)
  • Light corn syrup 1/3 cup
PROCEDURE:
Step 1:

Firstly, take a bowl, combine butter, corn syrup, peppermint extract and mix these ingredients until they form a dough-like texture (use an electric mixer).

Step 2:

Secondly, take almost 2 tsp of the dough, roll it into a ball and gently flatten with your hands to give it a proper shape but you can also use a mold.

Step 3:

Thirdly, take a pan lined with parchment paper and place the candies in it. Once you’ve done shaping candies, place the pan into the refrigerator for 10-12 minutes.

Step 4:

Most importantly, melt the dark chocolate in the microwave for 1.5 minutes or until it changes into a liquid form. After that, take peppermint candies out of the fridge after 10-12 minutes, dip each candy into chocolate using forks and place them on wax paper. After you coat all candies with chocolate, refrigerate them for 10 minutes.

Step 5:

Similarly, take the pan out and again give another coat of chocolate for enhancing chocolate flavor, top with chocolate jimmies. In conclusion, cool them in the refrigerator once again but for 40 minutes now and then enjoy.
