Take your pleasure seriously and make some classic chocolate mousse for your special ones. As chocolate mousse is a rich and creamy yet light and fluffy dessert with intense chocolate flavor.

 

 INGREDIENTS:

Serving: 6

  • Heavy cream ½ cup (cold)
  • Vanilla extract ½ tsp
  • Butter 3 tbsp (unsalted)
  • Large eggs 3 (cold)
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Dark chocolate ¾ cup
  • Cream of tartar ½ tsp
For serving:
  • Heavy cream ½ cup
  • Chocolate shavings

PROCEDURE:

Step 1:

Take 2 bowls and separate yolk and whites of the eggs in different bowls. Meanwhile, melt butter in oven. Also break the dark chocolate into small pieces, add in butter and again melt in microwave for 25 seconds or until the chocolate is 70% melted.

Step 2:

After the mixture cools down, add egg yolks one by one and mix it until a smooth chocolaty texture form.

Step 3:

Take another bowl and beat egg whites until it form a foamy texture (use electric beater). Now add sugar and cream of tartar and beat well. After few minutes the batter would form stiff peaks.

Step 4:

Now fold the egg white mixture into the chocolate mixture (using a spatula), mix only until all ingredients combine and form smooth texture and set aside.

Step 5:

Take another bowl and add heavy cream, beat it until it thickens up (using electric beater). Add 2 tbsp of sugar and vanilla extract and continue beating until the cream holds medium peaks.

Step 6:

Now add the cream in chocolaty batter and mix it until they form a silky-smooth texture using a spatula (don’t mix more than necessary).

Step 7:

Divide the mousse into glasses and place them into the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.

Step 8:

After few hours, for serving, garnish with cream and chocolate shavings to give it a beautiful and mouth-watering look.

Tips:

To add some colors and flavors to your fluffy chocolate mousse you can also use

  • Tiny spring of mint
  • Raspberries
  • Sprinkle of cocoa powder
  • Chocolate chips
  • strawberry
