This homemade chocolate fudge recipe is hands down the best fudge on earth.

  1. Start by greasing the baking pan. You can use cooking spray or softened butter.
  2. Add 2 cups of sugar 1/2 a cup of cocoa powder and 1 cup of milk into a saucepan. Use unsweetened cocoa powder and whole milk
  3. Stir the ingredients together over the medium-high heat until it starts to boil.
  4. Now, reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture without stirring, since stirring can crystallize the sugar.
  5. You’ll want to continue cooking until the mixture reaches 238 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a thermometer to measure the temperature. If you don’t have a thermometer you can test the doneness by dropping a bit of the mixture into a bowl of cold water. If it forms a soft ball and flattens when pressed between your fingers it’s ready.
  6. Remove it from the heat and let it cool down. We suggest you let it cool untll its temperature drops to 110.
  7. Once cooled, add a quarter cup of softened butter and one teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  8. If you’re a fan of nuts in the fudge now is the time to add them. I know I am a fan, so I am adding a cup of toasted and chopped hazelnuts.
  9. Beat everything together with a wooden spoon until the fudge loses its sheen.
  10. Transfer the fudge into the prepared pan and cool before cutting into squares.

Whenever I cook this Chocolate Hazelnuts Fudge everyone who eats it says it’s  way better than the fudge shops.
